MTV has an enormous presence on popular social media platforms, such as SnapChat and Instagram so every stroke counts. During this project, my challenge was to freshen the look and feel of the logo to appeal to their emerging audience, the digital generation. To achieve this I assigned a unique color to each social account to evoke a specific aspect of the subject. The new logo also had to be legible at small scale. So I created more negative space throughout the “MTV” icon and choose a type-face that had the right contrast to balance the final result.
